Honeycomb’s Big — Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
Natural honeycomb is growing in popularity. Here’s what it is, plus 5 delicious ways to enjoy it.
I’ll admit, when I was a wee little gal back in the 1970s and 80s, the only honeycomb I knew of was the boxed cereal that my dad bought on the regular. A favorite of my brother’s, Honeycomb Cereal, was a seriously sweet breakfast confection that, unless you let it soak in a bowl of milk for a good 5–10 minutes, would cut your poor gums and mouth to oblivion (those honeycombs were too big, yeah yeah yeah).
Natural honeycomb won’t do that, or at least it shouldn’t.
Let’s fast forward to 2021 and the packages of natural bee honeycomb we’ve seen popping up at the farmer’s market, on the shelves at the local grocery store, and maybe even coming from your neighbor and the honeybees they’re raising in their backyard.
